So once again...

have we been really bad at updating the blog.... There are a couple of reasons (apart from being lazy!), suppose the biggest one and nearest to the truth is that not THAT much happened for quite a while... We had promised to do some work for our neighbours Jose and Paulina, as part payment of the house. We were expecting this to take roughly 3-4 days but turned into more like 3 weeks.... As things do!

While we still haven't finished at their place, as we are waiting for some help from one of Glenn's friends, we have been able to make a little progress. AND you'll all be shocked to know that WE NOW HAVE ELECTRICITY!!!! Woohoo!!!! What a relief!!!!!!

We also managed to complete building and insulate the wall inbetween us and the neighbours, take the inner wall down, taken the top öayer of the entire floor up and we have started shifting the rubble..... Not lots of fun, but very good for insomnia (if we were to have that problem!)

The wall is down!

The wall is in the trailer

The wall has been transported to our land

The wall, most of the floor, the neighbours roof and loads of other goodies are being left up at our land to hopefully being used to secure our drive one day.

Just to let you know...

that we have not yet got our electricity! It is mad how we were joking in the previous post saying it'll probably be September before we get the electricity in.... Well now we are thinking HOPEFULLY it will be September....

Update....

Most of the floor is now up!

Not sure if you can see, but this picture is meant to show how much of the floor has come up, it is about 25 cm from the line to where the floor is now.

We started taking the plaster off the walls, a slow but necessary job. Thank you to the neighbours for lending us their electricity for this bit!!!
